Pais di rustic amour is a strategy financed within the framework of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region's Rural Development Programme. The project activities propose new routes in an area that wants to open up to tourists and residents in search not only of a natural landscape but also of typical cultural features with the human element at the centre of entrepreneurial development.
The regional project for the enhancement of the territory is thus described with a Pasolinian quotation. Within this framework, the municipality of Valvasone Arzene has identified an area to be redeveloped for tourism and social purposes in correspondence with the cycle routes.
The project proposes to recover an old building in the locality of Santa Margherita, now disused and attached to a large green area in front of it.
The objective is to provide a resting point for cyclists travelling along the tourist route, offering an information point service to learn about the history and attractions of the area.
In addition to the maintenance work, such as the re-roofing and the replacement of the windows and doors, spaces are created for the reception and infopoint, including toilets for public use.
Outside, the green space is renewed by providing access to the street with a shelter for parking bicycles. Part of the courtyard is also used as a social garden at the service of the community, offering gardening activities to promote social integration.
